A JourneyOf A Thousand Miles

If you want a personalized service, working with me one on one, then email Jonny at:  (mentalhealthsurvivorsclub@gmail.com)

Describe what problems you are having, and what goals you want to reach, and I will help you to reach those goals, step by step.

I am not a medical professional, but I have 26 years of lived experience with bipolar, and I have survived and recovered from many periods of depression and delusional mania. I have also done training courses in Mental Health First Aid and counselling.

I can tell you what you need to do to recover from and manage your mental health problems, and I can help you to think positively about the challenges that lie ahead.

Recovery is an incredibly wonderful and life-affirming process. Learning how to successfully manage your mental illness is exciting and empowering. When you succeed you will have overcome one of the biggest challenges that you will ever face. You will be victorious, and your future will look bright and full of endless possibilities.

It does take time to get there though, and you will need a lot of advice and support. To succeed, you will need to train yourself the way a soldier trains before he goes to war because fighting mental illness is a daily battle. You need to learn how to fight effectively. Mental illness is no joke. Get it wrong and it could be a matter of life and death.

Life is far too precious to throw away. When the mental pain seems unbearable you must dig deeper than you have ever dug before because success is buried in the garden of failure, and our greatest glory is not in never failing, but to rise again, every time we fall.

You will fall. You will fail. It is up to people like me to pick you up, brush you off, and get you back on your journey towards recovery. The Chinese philosopher Laozi once wrote: “A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.”

It is up to you to decide when you are ready to take that first step. If you need help to begin your journey, or need support on the way, feel free to email me at: mentalhealthsurvivorsclub@gmail.com

Recovery takes daily practice. Glenn Miller, the American big band conductor, and composure, once wrote: “If I go one day without practicing, I notice. If I go two days without practicing, the band notices. If I go three days without practicing, the audience notices. If I go four days without practicing, I don’t give a shit anymore.”

It is important to replace harmful habits with good ones. As your Wellness Coach, I will be in your corner encouraging you and giving you support and advice, as you fight your mental illness, like Muhammad Ali fighting and defeating one of his opponents.

Are you ready for the fight of your life?
“The harder the conflict, the more glorious the triumph.”
